CSIR NAL Recruitment 2026 Notification Out – Walk in for 89 Project Assistant, Project Associate and More Posts

CSIR-NAL Vacancy 2026 spans multiple engineering and science specializations, each with its own Walk-in-Interview date. Candidates should check the specialization and date relevant to their qualification. The notification states these position numbers may vary as per project requirements, and CSIR-NAL will form a panel of waitlisted candidates to support new projects - valid for one year from the date of notification of result, or till completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility depends on the post level and the specialization applied for. General essential qualification for each post category is summarized below; the exact discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electronics, Chemistry) must match the specialization listed in the Vacancy table for the post code applied to. Only candidates who have already completed their qualifying degree/diploma are eligible - candidates awaiting results of a qualifying examination cannot attend the interview. Where a candidate claims an equivalent qualification, they must produce the order/letter (with number and date) recognizing the equivalence, failing which the application is liable to be rejected. The prescribed qualifications are the minimum required; CSIR-NAL applies its own criteria for shortlisting and possessing the minimum qualification alone does not guarantee an interview call.

The maximum age limit is 35 years for all posts under this notification, assessed as on the date of the Walk-in-Interview for the relevant post. Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates (or as per Government of India instructions issued from time to time). Candidates must clearly mention their category and attach documentary proof; without this proof, age relaxation will not be entertained and the candidate will not be permitted to appear for interview. Selection is based on performance in the interview, or any other criteria adopted by the Selection Committee. If a large number of candidates appear, the Selection/Screening Committee has the discretion to shortlist candidates through a written exam or any other criteria it deems fit before the interview. A panel of suitable candidates is drawn up after the selection process, valid for a maximum of one year; empanelment does not automatically guarantee engagement, and utilization depends on the number of positions available across projects during that period.
