A total of 100 Para Legal Volunteer positions are available. Since PLVs are expected to work in village-level groups, selection will be done area/region-wise across all parts of Sheikhpura district, rather than through a single district-wide merit list. The final decision on the number and distribution of posts rests with DLSA Sheikhpura. Previously selected and currently serving Para Legal Volunteers under DLSA Sheikhpura must also submit a fresh application, and may be given preference in selection. Must be a permanent resident of Sheikhpura district, Bihar Must be physically and mentally fit Must be of good character and interested in social service Must not be an accused or convicted person in any criminal case Must not be a member of any political party The notice specifically invites applications from persons (women, men, or others) who wish to work for the upliftment of weaker and deprived sections of society without seeking any financial benefit, including: teachers (serving or retired), retired government employees, senior citizens, Anganwadi workers, doctors, students (including law students not yet enrolled as an advocate), and members of non-governmental organisations, clubs, self-help groups, Maitri Samooh, Jeevika group members, or other individuals interested in voluntary service whom DLSA considers suitable to be identified as a Para Legal Volunteer. Selected Para Legal Volunteers will receive a honorarium of ₹750 (seven hundred fifty rupees) per day . This amount is payable only for the specific days on which the DLSA assigns the volunteer a particular task - it is not a fixed monthly salary.

Selection of Para Legal Volunteers is made through an interview conducted by DLSA Sheikhpura's selection committee. The selection committee's decision is final and binding. Since reservation does not apply to this voluntary role, selection is not category-based; however, selection will be done area/region-wise to ensure representation from village-level groups across the district. Previously selected and currently working Para Legal Volunteers under DLSA Sheikhpura must submit a fresh application; they may be given preference in the selection process. The application must be filled completely, with self-attested photocopies of all qualification certificates attached. A self-addressed envelope with a ₹55 postage stamp must be enclosed with the application. The applicant's mobile number must be written on the application. Applicants must declare in the application whether they are a party (applicant or opposite party) to any pending court case, and provide details of the court, relevant sections, and bail status if applicable, along with whether they have been convicted by any court or are absconding in any case.
