Haryana Police SPO Recruitment 2026 Notification Out – Walk in for 400 Special Police Officer Posts

Important: No application will be accepted after the prescribed date for the concerned district. Eligible category: Ex-servicemen of the Armed Forces/Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), or ex-Constables of the disbanded Haryana State Industrial Security Force (HSISF)/Haryana Armed Police (HAP) Battalions. Educational qualification: Minimum 10+2 from a recognized board. Minimum service: At least 5 years of service in the Armed Forces/CAPFs. Candidates must not have been removed/dismissed from service in the Armed Forces/CAPFs on grounds of indiscipline, misconduct, or medical unfitness. Medical category at discharge must be ‘A’. Character certificate at discharge must be ‘Exemplary/Outstanding’. Preference is given to candidates with experience handling telecommunication equipment, particularly those who served in the Signal Corps of the Armed Forces/CAPFs. SPOs undergo a 15-day capsule course after selection to reorient themselves to Police Department requirements. They will not be posted at their home police station, though preference is given to the home district at deployment, subject to post availability. Ex-Gratia Compensation

Important: No written or physical test will be conducted for engagement of SPOs. Documents pertaining to qualification, age, caste/category, and other certificates claimed in the application are verified from the concerned issuing authorities. Selected candidates undergo a medical examination before an appointment letter is issued. Character and antecedents of selected candidates are verified from the concerned district police authority by the Police Telecommunication Wing, Haryana, before issuing appointment letters. Selected SPOs undergo a 15-day capsule course to reorient themselves to Police Department requirements.

Engagement is for 1 year, or until regular appointment of personnel to these posts, whichever is earlier. SPOs will not be posted at their home police station; preference for the home district is given at deployment, subject to availability of posts. Services can be terminated at any time before the 1-year period, without notice, on grounds of indiscipline, misconduct, unsatisfactory performance, or non-requirement, by order of the Superintendent of Police, Telecommunication. The order/decision of SP Telecommunication, Haryana is final; no appeal lies before any superior officer.
