IIT Bombay Mid-Sem Exam 2026 - Old vs Revised Dates

How to Check the Revised IIT Bombay Mid-Sem Exam Schedule 2026

• Visit the official IIT Bombay Academic Office website: acad.iitb.ac.in/academics/calendar-and-timetable.
• Look for the link titled "Mid-Semester Examination Timetable for Autumn 2026-2027 (Revised)" on the Calendar and Timetable page.
• Open the linked PDF/notice to view the full paper-wise timetable, which remains the same as originally published.
• Cross-check your course codes and slot timings against this revised document, and note that only the calendar dates (October 10 and 11) have changed, not the slot structure.
• Check your institute email and department notice board as well, since departments may circulate the same information directly to students.

Important Instructions for Students

• The mid-semester exams will be held on Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, 2026, in place of the earlier September 26-27 dates.
• The timetable has not changed - students should appear for the same papers, in the same sequence, as per the original schedule, only on the new dates.
• A new committee with equal student representation is preparing a revised Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for invigilators and updated academic misconduct rules; these will be placed before the Senate for approval before being implemented.
• Student stakeholders were consulted before the postponement was finalised, as per the official communication.
• Specific instructions on reporting time, permitted materials, seating arrangements, or ID requirements for the revised dates have not been separately detailed in the available official communication. Students should rely on their department/course instructor and the Academic Office for any such logistical details closer to the exam dates.
• Students are advised to keep checking official IIT Bombay channels (Academic Office website and institute email) for the approved SOP and any further notices before October 10.
