A total of 244 vacancies have been notified across six post categories and multiple zones. The vacancy details, including category-wise break-up, are given below. Note: Some vacancies are backlog vacancies for SC/ST/OBC and PwBD categories in specific zones - refer to the official notification for zone-wise backlog details. Vacancy numbers indicated are provisional; ISRO reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies as per requirement.

Age reckoning date: 16-08-2026 UR/EWS category: Maximum 28 years (born on or after 17-08-1998) OBC category: Maximum 31 years (born on or after 17-08-1995) SC/ST category: Maximum 33 years (born on or after 17-08-1993) Age relaxation as per Government of India orders is applicable to serving government employees, Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Disabilities, meritorious sportspersons, widows, divorced women, and women judicially separated from their husbands who have not remarried.

Application fee for all posts is ₹100. However, all candidates must initially pay a processing fee of ₹500 per application, uniformly. Fee is payable only online through the Bharatkosh e-Payment gateway via Internet Banking, UPI, or Debit Cards (domestic). No other mode of payment (cash, cheque, draft, money order, IPO, etc.) is accepted. The processing fee is refunded in full to candidates exempted from the fee (women, SC/ST/PwBD, Ex-Servicemen) who appear in the written test/CBT; for all other candidates, ₹100 is deducted and the balance refunded, provided the candidate appears in the written test/CBT. Refund is not considered if a candidate fails to appear for the written test/CBT.

A single objective-type paper of 150 minutes duration (with compensation time for PwBD candidates) will be conducted at 38 venues across India, including Agartala, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh/Mohali, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Ernakulam, Gorakhpur, Gurugram, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kavaratti, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mangaluru, Mumbai, Mysore, Nagpur, Patna, Port Blair, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Tiruchirapalli, Thiruvananthapuram, Varanasi, Vijayawada, and Visakhapatnam. Marking pattern: +1 for correct answer, -0.25 for wrong answer. No TA is paid for attending the written test. Based on written test performance, candidates are shortlisted for the skill test in the ratio of 1:5 (maximum) to the category-wise number of vacancies. Selected candidates will be appointed as Assistant / Junior Personal Assistant / Upper Division Clerk / Stenographer in Level 4 of the Pay Matrix. Minimum basic pay: ₹25,500 per month. Additional allowances: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance as per extant Central Government rules. Employees will be governed by the New Pension Scheme. Other benefits: medical facilities for self and dependents, subsidised canteen, limited quarters facility (in lieu of HRA), Leave Travel Concession, Group Insurance, and House Building Advance, as admissible per Central Government orders.

Candidates employed under Central/State Government, PSUs, or Autonomous Bodies must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of the Skill Test. Failure to submit the original NOC will result in the candidate not being permitted to appear for the Skill Test, and TA will not be paid. PwBD candidates applying for reserved posts must submit a self-attested Disability Certificate in the prescribed format, indicating percentage of disability (minimum 40% relevant disability required for reservation eligibility), issued by a duly constituted Medical Board. OBC candidates must possess a valid OBC certificate (non-creamy layer, in the prescribed proforma) as on the last date of application.
