IUAC Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for Scientist-C, Junior Engineer-C & Library Assistant-C Posts

Total Posts: 08 Of the 5 Scientist-C vacancies, 2 are on an anticipated basis and 1 is on a lien basis. Initial appointment to Scientist-C will be as Scientist Trainee, carrying a stipend of Rs. 55,000/- during the one-year training period, after which the trainee will be absorbed in Level-10 of the Pay Matrix as Scientist-C.

Scientist-C: M.Sc. (Physics/Applied Physics) with a consistently good academic record (Class-X onwards with at least 60%) from a recognized University/Institute. Candidates completing their M.Sc. in academic year 2025-26 can also apply, provided the final degree is available at the time of interview. Desirable: proficiency in the use of a variety of computer applications. Junior Engineer-C: Diploma (Electronics) from a recognized university/institute with a consistently good academic record (Class-X onwards with minimum 60% marks). Desirable: 3 years' experience in the relevant field with an R&D institution, and proficiency in computer applications. The diploma/degree must be cleared on or before the last date of application submission. Library Assistant-C: B.Lib. with B.Sc. and 4 years' experience in the operation of a computerized library. Desirable: knowledge of computer applications.

Scientist-C: 26 years Junior Engineer-C: 30 years Library Assistant-C: 34 years Eligibility, including age, is considered as on the last date of receipt of application. No age relaxation is available to persons working on Contract/Ad-hoc/Daily Wage/Work Charged basis.

Scientist-C: Level-10 (Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,500) as per 7th CPC; Rs. 55,000/- stipend during the one-year Scientist Trainee period Junior Engineer-C: Level-6 (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400) as per 7th CPC Library Assistant-C: Level-6 (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400) as per 7th CPC All posts carry allowances such as DA, HRA, and Transport Allowance, besides benefits like LTC and medical reimbursement, as per IUAC Rules.

The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid through online mode. Candidates are advised to check their eligibility before submitting the application form or fee payment.

Selection is based on performance in the Written Test and Interview/Skill Test/Trade Test, as applicable to each post. Online applications will be scrutinized by a shortlisting/screening committee, which may restrict the number of candidates called for the written test/interview/skill test based on qualifications, level, and relevance of experience higher than the minimum prescribed. All stages of recruitment will be held in Delhi/New Delhi only. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test.

Candidate must be a citizen of India. Eligibility for the post applied is considered as on the last date of receipt of application. All stages of recruitment will be held in Delhi/New Delhi only. Mere fulfilment of minimum qualifications/eligibility does not entitle a candidate to be called for the written test/interview. Government/PSU/autonomous body employees must apply through proper channel with a No-Objection Certificate, vigilance clearance, and last five years' ACR/APAR at the time of document verification.
