Kamrup Gaon Pradhan Recruitment 2026: 55 Vacancies, Eligibility, Salary & Application Process

The 55 Gaon Pradhan vacancies are distributed across 11 Revenue Circles of Kamrup district as follows: Candidates must apply for a specific village/lot. Below is the complete village-wise vacancy list as given in the official notification: Applicants must clearly mention the name of the village(s) they are applying for in the application form, as required by the notification.

Village/Lot-wise Vacancy List (Complete Breakup)

Candidate must not be less than 30 years as on 1st January, 2026. Age will be calculated based on the Birth Certificate issued by the competent authority or the HSLC Admit Card/Certificate issued by a recognised Board/Council. No other document will be accepted as age proof. Candidates must be minimum 10th (HSLC) passed from a Board/Institution recognised by the State or Central Government. Must be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of the area for which appointment is sought. Must be physically fit and of sound mind. Must not have been declared insolvent or a defaulter in payment of Government dues (a Bakijai Clearance Certificate must be furnished). Must not be a government employee. Must not be a member of any political party. Must have land or immovable property in his/her own name in the village where appointment as Gaon Pradhan is sought. Preference will be given to family

The selected Gaon Pradhan will receive a monthly remuneration of Rs. 14,000 (Rupees Fourteen Thousand only) per month.

Selection is made purely through a Viva Voce (Interview) . No written examination is mentioned in the notification. Eligible candidates scoring the highest marks in the Viva Voce interview will be selected for the post of Gaon Pradhan for the concerned village. Date and venue of the interview will be notified later through Circle offices, Mouzadar offices, and the District Commissioner, Kamrup website ( www.kamrup.assam.gov.in ). All appointments will be made only after a Police verification report as per procedure. The decision of the District Commissioner regarding a candidate's eligibility for the interview shall be final.

Applications must be accompanied by self-attested copies of the following documents: Educational qualification certificate, mark sheet, and Admit Card of HSLC Age proof certificate (Birth Certificate issued by competent authority, or HSLC Admit Card/Certificate issued by a recognised Board/Council) Three recent passport-size colour photographs, size 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm, with white background PAN Card Voter ID Card Small Family Norms affidavit/self-declaration (not more than two living children from single/multiple partners) Jamabandi in respect of the applicant or his/her parents for the concerned village, showing ownership of land/immovable property Mouzadar certificate confirming the applicant belongs to the village applied for Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) Self-declaration stating the applicant does not belong to any political party and is not a government employee Bakijai Clearan

Candidates must carry all testimonials in original along with photocopies at the time of the interview. No request for a different interview date will be entertained if a candidate fails to attend on the scheduled date. Eligible candidates scoring the highest marks in the Viva Voce interview will be selected for the concerned village. All appointments are subject to a Police verification report. The District Commissioner's decision on eligibility for the interview is final.
