The department-wise breakup of the 55 Senior Resident vacancies, along with the interview date, timing and venue, is given below. The notification clearly states that the above-mentioned vacancies are subject to change. Additional notes mentioned in the notification: A walk-in interview notice for the Mch Paeds Surgery/DNB/MS (General Surgery) department is for 2 posts in the Department of Pediatrics Surgery, on a temporary basis. A walk-in interview notice for the Mch Neurosurgery/DNB/MS (General Surgery) department may be allowed for the post of Senior Resident in the Department of Neurosurgery.

Essential Qualification: MBBS with Post Graduate Degree/DNB/Diploma or Post Doctoral Degree (or equivalent) in the concerned specialty from an NMC/MCI recognized university/institute, and preferably valid DMC registration for the concerned specialty/super-specialty. The tenure of the PG Degree/DNB/Diploma or Post Doctoral Degree (or equivalent) must be completed, and the result must also be declared, before the date of interview. Non-PG candidates: If an applicant does not hold the above qualification, they will be treated as a Non-PG Senior Resident and may be appointed for 44 days or till these posts are filled with a suitable PG-qualified candidate, whichever is earlier. Selected Senior Residents will be paid as per 7th CPC, Pay Matrix Level-11 (Rs. 67,700 - Rs. 208,700), along with other usual allowances admissible per month as per rules.

The tenure will be for a period of 44 days (maximum 3 years, including any service already rendered as Senior Resident on an ad-hoc/regular basis in any NMC-recognized teaching/non-teaching institution), or till a regular Senior Resident joins - whichever is earlier. This is in accordance with the Residency Scheme of GOI dated 5th June 1992 and the subsequent extended Residency Scheme notified vide Circular No. F.No.121/26/2010/H&FW/DSHFW/1996-2045 dated 10th June 2011. No NOC of any kind will be issued to the Senior Resident before the candidate completes at least 44 days of continuous service. No permission/leave will be granted to attend a conference/seminar/workshop/fellowship programme lasting more than three days at any point during the tenure.

The official notification states: "There is no fee for appearing in the interview." The application checklist includes a line for "Demand Draft (if Application)" but the notification does not specify any application fee amount. If a fee is applicable in specific cases, the exact amount is not mentioned in the official notification.

The mode of selection is through interview only. No waiting list will be prepared; only a rank list will be prepared for this interview, which will remain valid till the next interview notice is published. If the number of applications is very high, the interview may continue on the next working day. This will be informed verbally to candidates by the Board Members on the date of interview at closing time. Candidates who are not interviewed on the said date must not leave the venue without the knowledge of the Board Members - no separate communication will be made in this regard.

Interested and eligible candidates must apply in the prescribed application format along with original and self-attested photocopies of the following documents: MBBS Degree, Post Graduate Degree, DMC Certificate/registration acknowledgment for PG Degree, Caste Certificate, and proof of awards/publications (if applicable) Identity proof: Aadhar card, Voter ID card, Driving license, Passport, etc. 2 (two) passport-size photographs on a white background, attested by the HoD of the concerned department (as required in the application form) Candidates must also produce an NOC (No Objection Certificate) from their present employer.

Candidates who possess DMC registration (with PG Degree) OR have applied for DMC registration (with PG Degree) and enclosed the DMC acknowledgment will be allowed to appear in the interview provisionally. No application will be entertained beyond the stipulated time. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates called for the interview. Selected candidates must join within 10 days of issue of the offer letter, failing which the offer will stand automatically cancelled. No extension for joining will be considered. A selected candidate will be allowed to join only provisionally if DMC registration is not yet available. Such a candidate will be taken on strength only after producing the DMC certificate within one month of joining.
