For the Deputy Director (Medical) post, the candidate must be below 35 years of age and must hold a recognized Postgraduate Medical qualification approved under the Indian Medical Council Act-1956. Desirable qualifications include training in medical education technology and knowledge of modern evaluation techniques such as MCQ generation and MEQ analysis.

For the Junior Assistant post, candidates must have passed the Senior Secondary Examination (12th of 10+2) from a Board/University recognized by Central/State Govt./UT Administration, must have proficiency in computers and basic software (Windows, LAN architecture), and must qualify the examination as may be prescribed by NBEMS.

The Junior Assistant post is placed at Pay Matrix Level 2 under the 7th CPC, with a basic pay range of approximately ₹19,900 to ₹63,200. In addition to basic pay, employees receive Dearness Allowance, HRA, Transport Allowance, and other Central Government benefits.

The age limit for the NBEMS Stenographer post is 18 to 27 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and other reserved categories is applicable as per Government of India norms.
