NSTI Kanpur Guest Faculties Recruitment 2026 Notification Out - Apply Offline

The National Skill Training Institute (NSTI), Kanpur, under the Directorate General of Training (DGT), Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, has released a notification inviting offline applications for the engagement of Guest Faculties for the session 2026-27. The notification does not mention a fixed number of vacancies. It clearly states that the number of vacancies may increase or decrease as per requirement. Guest Faculty engagement is invited under two schemes covering the following trades/subjects: Turner Machinist Fitter Electronics Mechanic Electrician Sewing Technology Dress Making COPA/CHNM (CHNM) CSA MMV (Mechanic Motor Vehicle) Welder Information Technology Training Methodology Workshop Calculation and Science Solar Technician (Electrical) Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician

Eligibility for NSTI Kanpur Guest Faculty posts is trade-specific. Broadly, each trade accepts candidates through one of four routes: a relevant Degree/B.Voc with CITS and post-CITS experience, a relevant Diploma with CITS and post-CITS experience, an Ex-serviceman equivalency route through DGR, or an NTC/NAC qualification with CITS and longer post-CITS experience. Minimum age for all trades is 21 years as on 01 August 2026.

Note: For all routes above, candidates must hold CITS (Craft Instructor Training Scheme) qualification unless applying under the Ex-serviceman equivalency route, which requires 15 years of service in the related field with a minimum 2-year methods-of-instruction course from a technical training institute of the Indian Armed Forces.

The minimum age for all trades is 21 years as on 01 August 2026. No upper age limit is specified in the notification.

Selection will be made on the basis of a Written Test and a Skill Test. The tentative examination date will be published on the institute website and communicated via email. Call letters for the examination will be sent through email to eligible candidates only. The written and skill test for all trades/subjects will be conducted at the same time, so applicants are advised to apply for only one post.

Engagement of Guest Faculty is purely temporary and can be cancelled at any time without providing any reason by the engaging authority (RD/HOD). Engagement is renewed periodically every three months. Applicants are advised to apply for only one post, as the written and skill test for all trades/subjects will be held at the same time. The Regional Director, NSTI Kanpur, reserves the right to cancel or alter any recruitment without assigning any reason. The number of vacancies may increase or decrease as per requirement.
