The engagement is purely contractual and temporary in nature, and involves shift work of an arduous and hazardous nature at remote/far-flung OIL installations, including "on-call" duty. Must have passed Class 10th from a Government Recognized Education Board. Must possess a National/Provisional Trade Certificate issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT), in Diesel Mechanic, Fitter, Electrician, Turner, Welder, Motor Mechanic, or Machinist trade. Must have a minimum of 6 (six) months of post-qualification work experience as an assistant in drilling/workover activities or any oilfield-related services. Candidates will be selected based on the Walk-in for Personal Assessment , carrying a total of 100 marks. The qualifying/pass marks are 50 marks for all categories. Assessment will be based on parameters such as Professional Knowledge and Skills (in the concerned discipline), Professional Knowledge and Skills (in an allied discipline), and Personal Attributes and Soft Skills. Final selection will be made purely on merit, based on the marks obtained in the Walk-in for Personal Assessment, among candidates securing the qualifying marks of 50 or above.

Selected candidates are entitled to the total contract emolument, comprising both fixed and variable components. However, during Maternity Leave availed within the contractual period, only the Fixed component will be paid.

Initial engagement period: 6 months . Extendable for three subsequent tenures of 6 months each, subject to departmental requirement, job performance, conduct, and physical fitness.
