A total of 68 vacancies are notified. Vacancy numbers are tentative and subject to change at any stage of the selection process. Out of the 68 posts, 03 posts are reserved under 4% horizontal reservation for Locomotor Disabled candidates. 35% of posts are horizontally reserved for women candidates, subject to being permanent residents of Bihar.

As on 01.01.2026, candidates must possess: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution Diploma/Certificate of at least a six-month course in Computer Application from a recognized institution Candidates who have served in the Territorial Army for a minimum of two years, or who hold a 'B' certificate of the National Cadet Corps, shall be given preference at the interview stage, other things being equal. Horizontal reservation benefits for women and Locomotor Disabled candidates are granted only to permanent residents of Bihar. Only candidates with not less than 40% relevant disability are eligible under the Locomotor Disabled quota.

Preliminary/Screening Test (only if the number of applicants is high) Written Test Computer Proficiency Test Interview The final merit list is prepared based on marks secured in the Written Test and Interview only. Preliminary Test marks are used solely for shortlisting. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the Preliminary Test and Written Test. Shortlisting ratios: 10 times the number of vacancies for the Written Test (if a Preliminary Test is held), 6 times for the Computer Proficiency Test, and 3 times for the Interview, based on the model roster point and reservation policy.

Selected candidates will be placed in Level-4 (₹25,500/- to ₹81,100/-) of the pay matrix under the 7th Pay Revision Committee, plus usual allowances as admissible, initially on probation for one year.

Fee must be paid online only and is non-refundable. The concessional fee for SC/ST/Locomotor Disabled applies only to permanent residents of Bihar, subject to Domicile, Category, and (where applicable) Medical Certificates.
