RCF Kapurthala Apprentice Vacancy 2026 is spread across nine trades, with category-wise breakup as given in the official notification. PWD seats (4% of total) and Ex-servicemen/children of Ex-servicemen and Armed Forces personnel seats (3% of total) are reserved within the trade-wise totals above, as per the notification.

The fee is payable only through the online payment gateway (debit card, credit card, internet banking, SBI challan, etc.) integrated with the application form; cash, cheque, money order, or demand draft are not accepted. Selection is based on a merit list, without any written examination or interview, prepared as follows: The merit list is based on the simple average of the percentage of marks in matriculation (minimum 50% aggregate) and the percentage of marks in the ITI/NTC certificate for the relevant trade. Matriculation percentage is calculated using marks obtained in all subjects, not just a selected group of subjects. In case of a tie in marks, the older candidate is preferred; if the date of birth is also the same, the candidate who passed matriculation earlier is preferred. A final merit list is prepared trade-wise and community-wise, in descending order of marks, equal to the number of available seats.
