STPI has notified 9 vacancies for the post of Junior Hindi Translator, categorized as follows: STPI has reserved the right to vary the number of posts and may decide not to fill any or all of the notified vacancies.

The maximum age limit for appointment on direct recruitment basis is 30 years . Age is reckoned as on the last date of receipt of online applications, i.e., 07.09.2026.

The post of Junior Hindi Translator carries Pay Matrix Level 6 (Rs. 35,400 - 112,400) as per the 7th Central Pay Commission. The appointment will initially be on probation for a period of two years, which may be regularized, extended, or terminated based on performance during the probation period.

The mode and process of fee payment will be specified on the online application portal. Application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Selection for the JHT post will be based on a written examination consisting of two papers: Paper-I consists of objective-type multiple-choice questions testing understanding of Hindi and English language and literature, correct usage of words, phrases, and idioms. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I. Based on marks scored in Paper-I, candidates will be shortlisted category-wise for Paper-II. Paper-II includes one passage for translation from Hindi to English, one passage from English to Hindi, and an essay each in Hindi and English. For final selection, weightage will be 50% of the scores in Paper-I and 100% of the marks in Paper-II. There may be separate category-wise cut-offs for Paper-I and Paper-II.
