Vacancies have been notified project-wise across nine Bal Vikas Pariyojana (Child Development Project) areas in Etah district, separately for the Karyakartri and Sahayika posts, with category-wise break-up under Unreserved (UR), Other Backward Class (OBC), and Scheduled Caste (SC). Only women candidates are eligible for the notified posts. The minimum educational qualification for both the Anganwadi Karyakartri and Sahayika posts is Intermediate (12th pass) or an equivalent qualification. The maximum educational qualification considered is postgraduate level; merit will be prepared on this basis. Marks obtained in High School (10th) will not be included while preparing the merit list. The minimum age for candidates is 18 years and the maximum age is 35 years, as on the cut-off date of 01 July 2026. The date of birth recorded in the High School mark sheet and certificate will be treated as valid for age calculation. No separate age relaxation is available to candidates from Scheduled Caste, Other Backward Class, or General category. The candidate must necessarily be a resident of the ward (in urban areas) or gram panchayat against which the vacant post is notified.

For direct recruitment to Anganwadi Karyakartri and Sahayika posts, the following order of preference applies within the same gram sabha/ward: A widow woman from a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family, resident of that gram sabha/ward. A legally divorced/deserted woman from a BPL family, resident of that gram sabha/ward. If no candidate is available under the above two categories, women from BPL families in that gram sabha/ward. If no candidate is available under any of the above, in the same order of preference: a widow woman from an Above Poverty Line (APL) family; a legally divorced/deserted woman from an APL family; and if none is available, women from APL families in that gram sabha/ward. If more than one vacancy is notified in a gram sabha/ward and an applicant applies against all notified posts within her eligibility, selection will be based on whichever Anganwadi centre code is generated first on the portal for that applicant; no option/choice will be taken from the candidate in this regard, and once selection is finalised on the first-generated centre code, that applicant will not be considered for any other centre code. The gram panchayat/ward will be determined as per the current delimitation, and the reservation of the concerned Anganwadi centre will remain as it currently stands. Only income certificates issued in accordance with the UP Government Revenue Section-9 order No. 3959/1-9-11-Ra0-9, dated 30.09.2011, and capable of online verification from the competent authority, will be considered valid. As per the Social Welfare Section-2 order No. 22/2015/2123/26-2-2015, dated 14 September 2015 (as amended), the annual income limit for the Below Poverty Line category is ₹46,080 for rural areas and ₹56,460 for urban (non-rural) areas. The Anganwadi Karyakartri and Sahayika posts are entirely temporary and honorarium-based. The Uttar Pradesh State Employee Service Rules do not apply to these posts, and the posts can be terminated at any time as directed by the Government. Two women from the same family will not be appointed as Karyakartri and Sahayika at the same Anganwadi centre.

All selection proceedings will be governed by the decisions of the Selection Committee constituted under Government Order No. I/2025/3313/58-1-2025 (1917687), dated 17 September 2025, issued by the Principal Secretary, Bal Vikas Seva evam Pushtahar, Uttar Pradesh.
