Important Instructions for UP NEET UG Round 2 Candidates

• Choice locking is separate from choice saving: Choices filled between the counselling window must be explicitly "locked." If a candidate saves choices but does not manually lock them before the deadline, the system automatically locks the last saved preference list for seat allotment.
• No limit on number of college preferences: There is no restriction on how many college options a candidate can add during choice filling. Adding the maximum number of valid, genuine preferences increases the chance of seat allotment.
• Choices can be edited before locking: As long as a candidate has only clicked "Save Choices" and not "Lock Choices," they can log in multiple times to reorder or add colleges until the choice filling window closes.
• Verify private college fee structures before locking: Candidates opting for private medical or dental colleges must carefully check the total tuition, hostel, and miscellaneous fees on dgme.up.gov.in before finalizing their choices, since fee details vary by institution.
• Reporting after seat allotment is mandatory: Candidates allotted a seat in Round 2 must physically report to their assigned medical or dental college with original documents, identity proof, and the allotment letter to complete admission formalities.
