How to Check UPTAC 2026 Round 3 Seat Allotment Result

Follow these steps to view and download your Round 3 allotment letter:

• Go to the official UPTAC website: uptac.samarth.edu.in.
• Click on the candidate login link on the homepage.
• Enter your application number and password, then log in.
• Open the "Seat Allotment" or "Round 3 Result" tab on your dashboard.
• Your allotted institute, branch, and category will be displayed on screen.
• Download and save your seat allotment letter in PDF format for future reference and physical reporting.

What to Do After the Round 3 Result: Freeze or Float

Once your Round 3 allotment is out, you must choose one of the available options on the portal within the deadline. This choice determines whether you continue in the counselling process and what happens to your current seat.

Since Round 4 functions as an auto-freeze round - meaning any candidate still floating after Round 4 is automatically locked into the best seat they have held across all rounds - Round 3 is one of the last rounds where actively choosing to float carries a meaningful decision.

UPTAC 2026 Seat Acceptance Fee

To confirm (freeze or float) an allotted seat, candidates must pay the seat acceptance fee, which is later adjusted against the total course fee.

The last date to pay the seat acceptance fee for Round 3 is August 1, 2026. If your Round 3 allotment is an upgrade from an earlier round, you typically only need to pay the fee difference, if any, since the SAMARTH portal tracks your existing payment against the new allotment - always verify the exact amount due on your downloaded allotment letter.

Important Instructions for Round 3 Allotted Candidates

• Carefully verify your allotted institute, branch, and category on the allotment letter before proceeding.
• Failure to pay the seat acceptance fee or complete physical reporting within the deadline results in automatic cancellation of the allotted seat, with no refund, as per the UPTAC counselling brochure.
• Candidates should re-check their eligibility across categories in each round, since vacancy patterns shift as other candidates accept, upgrade, or withdraw seats.
• Outstation (non-UP) candidates should keep checking their status each round, since All-India quota seats can open up as candidates withdraw or get allotted elsewhere.
• Choices locked during Round 3 choice filling also apply to Round 4 allotment and the internal sliding round.

Is Round 3 the Final Round of UPTAC 2026 Counselling?

No. Round 3 is followed by Round 4 (an auto-freeze round), after which an Internal Sliding round and up to two Special Rounds are expected to be conducted, tentatively in August 2026, to fill any seats that remain vacant. Special Rounds are open to fresh registrations and CUET UG-qualified candidates as well, but availability of popular branches at top government colleges in these later rounds is typically very limited.
