NLC India Limited has issued for 1,067 ITI Trade and Graduate (Non-Engineering) apprenticeship training slots at Neyveli and Regional Office, Chennai. Applicants must possess the qualification required for their apprenticeship category. Graduate (Non-Engineering) candidates must also meet the prescribed passing-year restriction. Candidates must have passed ITI in the relevant trade from a recognized institute . The notification does not prescribe a qualifying-examination passing-year restriction for ITI candidates. Applicants must possess a regular full-time Bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline from a UGC-approved university . Eligible disciplines include Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Application, Geology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Pharmacy and Nursing, as listed in the vacancy table. Passing Year Requirement: Graduate (Non-Engineering) candidates must have passed their qualifying examination in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 . The minimum age for NLC India Apprenticeship Training 2026 is 18 years as on 31 October 2026 , under Section 3(a) of the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend between Rs. 12,000 and Rs. 16,678 , depending on their training category and discipline. For Graduate Apprentices, the notified stipend includes Rs. 6,150 payable by the Government through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme . The stipend is paid during the prescribed 12-month apprenticeship training period. These are training stipends, not regular employee salary scales.

The notified training locations are Neyveli and Regional Office, Chennai. Completion of apprenticeship training does not provide any right to temporary or permanent employment with NLC India Limited.

Selection will be based on marks obtained in the relevant qualifying examination . The notification does not prescribe a separate written examination for these apprenticeship slots. Trade Apprentices will be selected based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying ITI examination. Graduate Apprentices will be assessed based on the marks obtained in their Bachelor's degree, following the percentage-calculation procedure of the awarding university or institution. Where the university has an established CGPA or grade conversion procedure, that procedure will be followed. If no established conversion system is available, the CGPA or grade will be multiplied by 10 to obtain the equivalent percentage. Important for 2026 Graduates: Candidates who completed their course in 2026 but have not received their Provisional Certificate may submit a Temporary Provisional Certificate in the prescribed format. It must be issued on the institution's official letterhead and signed and sealed by the Principal. Graduate applicants must include relevant semester-wise or consolidated marksheets and the CGPA/OGPA conversion certificate, where applicable. ITI applicants must include the relevant trade certificate and marksheets in the prescribed merged file.

Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwBD candidates will be provided according to the Apprentices Act and applicable provisions. OBC Non-Creamy Layer candidates must provide a valid OBC-NCL certificate in the prescribed Government format, valid from 1 April 2026 . Candidates who fail to submit the applicable reservation certificate will be considered under the General category.
