There are a total of 40 vacancies across various trades.

Citizens of India who fulfill the requisite qualification can apply.

The age limit for General Candidates is between 18 and 35 years as on the last date of receipt of application. Class 10th Board Certificate/Mark sheet will only be taken as proof of date of birth.

Contractual employees will be paid a consolidated monthly salary, inclusive of Basic Pay as per existing CPC (Level-1) and Dearness Allowance as per government rules. Remuneration is calculated at the rate of 1/30th of the pay at the basic of the relevant pay scale plus Dearness Allowance for work of 08 hours a day. An annual increase of 3% during the tenure is admissible on the Basic Pay, subject to satisfactory performance.

The fee must be paid through a Demand Draft in favor of "Ordnance Factories Institute of Learning, Ishapore" payable at State Bank of India, Ishapore (Branch Code 01797, IFSC - SBIN0001797).

The selection process comprises a Trade Test/Practical Test, Document Verification, and an interview. Trade Test: Selection is based on marks scored in the NCTVT (NCVT) Trade Test / Practical Test only, in order of merit. The weightage of marks in the NCTVT Exam and Trade Test/Practical Test will be 80% and 20% respectively. Document Verification: Candidates qualifying in the NCTVT and Trade Test/Practical Test will be called for Document Verification in the order of merit, limited to the number of posts notified discipline/category-wise. Interview: Eligible candidates will be called for interview in the ratio of 1:10 between vacancies and eligible candidates.

Engagement is on a full-time contractual basis initially for a period of 01 year, extendable for a maximum period of 02 years (01 year original and 01 year extension) after appraisal and review. Employees will work as per the production schedule, typically 08 hours per day, 06 days per week (48 hours per week). Contractual employees are entitled to 12 days of paid leave per year, pro-rated based on contract duration. Unused leave cannot be carried forward or encashed, and employees shall generally not take more than 05 days leave in a month. Selected candidates must undergo a medical fitness test before joining. TA/DA will be paid to SC/ST candidates for appearing in Document Verification as per government instructions. Incomplete or unsigned applications will be summarily rejected.
