IRCON Rail Welding Technician Recruitment 2026 – Walkin

There are a total of 6 vacancies available for the Rail Welding (EA) Technician post.

Minimum three years experience in arc welding and experience in covered arc welding of butt joints on 9mm thick carbon steel sheets without backing strip, in downward or upright position in compliance with ISO 9606-1. Preference may be given to candidates having prior experience in Enclosed Arc (EA) welding or similar specialized welding work in industries such as shipbuilding, shipping, heavy engineering, railways, or other comparable applications. Candidates should be in sound health and free from color blindness. No relaxation in health standards will be allowed.

The maximum age limit is 35 Years as on 01.10.2026. Age relaxations apply as per Govt. of India guidelines subject to fulfillment of the requisite qualification, pay & experience criteria.

The selected candidate will be paid initial Basic of respective pay scale, Variable DA (presently @55.7%), and Allowances @15% of Basic. No HRA shall be given to Contract Employees on Pay Scale; instead, Bachelor Accommodation shall be provided at Project Sites. Contract Employees shall be granted an annual increment of 3% on Basic Pay based on performance.

Selection is conducted through walk-in-interviews. Only such applicants will be interviewed who are eligible as per the eligibility criteria.

The contract is for an initial tenure of 2 years, which may be extended further after two years based on performance and project requirement. Contract Employees on pay scale shall execute a service bond of Rs. Five Lakhs for serving the company for an initial period of 2 years and subsequent extended period (if any) up to a maximum of three years. The appointment is co-terminus with the project and will not confer any right to claim absorption in the regular establishment.
