The notification lists 9 vacancies in Grade 'C' across three departments. Turner is the only post advertised in more than one department.

Relaxation in upper age limit

The fee must be paid by Demand Draft (DD) only, enclosed with the prescribed application. The notification states that no other mode of payment is acceptable. The Demand Draft must be an account payee DD drawn in favour of Instrumentation Limited, by any Scheduled Bank, payable at Palakkad. Candidates are advised to write their name and address on the reverse side of the Demand Draft. Applications without a proper Demand Draft (except PwD) will be summarily rejected.

All the advertised posts carry the pay scale Rs.14700-86000. Selected candidates are placed at the minimum of the scale of the grade for which they are appointed. The notification states that tenure-based personnel are not entitled to any allowance or benefits other than those indicated in the remuneration/pay scale and leave provisions above. The recruitment is on Fixed Term Employment (FTE) basis, initially for 2 years. It can be extended by a further 2 years (maximum period of 4 years) at the discretion of the company, based on requirement and satisfactory performance. An amount at 5% will be deducted at source from the monthly emoluments as surety. It will be paid back without interest on completion of the contract tenure. If the candidate leaves the company, or the Fixed Term Employment is terminated before the contract tenure is completed, the surety amount will not be returned.

The selection process for Grade 'C' under Fixed Term Employment comprises two stages. Shortlisted candidates must produce all original documents at the time of document verification, including testimonials in support of age and qualification. Appointment is subject to verification of caste, character and antecedents, as the case may be, from the concerned authorities as per company rules. Intimation about the written/practical test will be sent through e-mail and Speed Post. The minimum qualifying marks and test dates are not specified in the notification. Candidates attending the written/practical test will be reimbursed Travelling Allowance (TA), that is III AC Class train fare by the shortest route, on production of proof of travel (original onward journey ticket and photocopy of return journey ticket).
